Hi Friends! Welcome to my new blog, such a 2020 thing to have. I’ve wanted to start a travel blog for a long time, and it’s fitting that I waited until the pandemic to do so. Are you traveling? NO OF COURSE NOT. Neither am I, except to the grocery store for toilet paper, flour, and large amounts of booze.
Still why start a travel blog? It seems pretty cliche these days to say I’d love to quit my job and travel full time but…yeah, it’s true. Maybe one day I will have the flexibility to do that. Until then, I work at a stable job for a tech company to pay the bills. One reason for this blog is to keep up to date on HTML, web tech, and the digital landscape.
What will you see on my blog? Probably mediocre pictures of me, my dog, national parks, local Washington spots, and hopefully eventually international travel.
What won’t you see on my blog? Highly polished staged photos of me. Look, the best camera is the one you have handy, and I have an iPhone handy. If I could have used Blogger for this whole site, I would have. (It’s just so easy!)
You might see affiliate links (girl’s gotta eat), and some click bait-y headlines (“The Perfect Day in This Random Hellhole!”), but you will mostly see the stories behind my trips, how I plan them, and the fun times had by all.
